Help me attend my first archaeological field school in Belize!

I am happy to share with you that I have recently graduated with a BA in Anthropology and am an aspiring archaeologist. As you probably know, it is tough to get a job in this field without the education and experience offered through a field school.

I am also excited to share that I have just been accepted to be apart of the 4-week long field school in Belize and will be studying ancient Maya culture while I’m there! The field school is apart of the Belize Valley Archaeological Renaissance Project (BVAR) and will take place from July 7th to August 1st…which is basically only days away!

I am so happy to have been accepted and to have saved enough money to attend this field school, yet I am still coming up short on funds for my flight there, and back, as well as living expenses while in Belize. So, I have set up an account with gofundme to help me raise the remaining money. The link can be found here:

This is one of the sites I will be working at, Baking Pot, Belize

I would be so grateful for you to take the time to read and support my fund for my life-changing adventure. Assuming many of you are anthropologists, I know you will all understand the importance of field schools. Your support would mean the world to me because it will help me advance in my career…but it will also let me know there are people out there who care about the study of human culture, past and present, as much as I do. :)

Thanks for reading! Hope to see you out in the field one day!
